@senjeki
Yeah it is. It’s quite full of misguided history, cosmology, biology, and other branches of science. ( earth is flat, earth is the center of the universe, egyptians enslaved israelites, we were molded from mud/ women were just plucked from man’s rib etc.)
Prophecy? they were all either very vague or outlandishly insane. Even the prophecies of Nostradamus made more sense than those in the bible.
I’m a strong atheist. There is no evidence of a god, therefore, there is no god, there never was a god, and I have evidence that proves there is no god and the whole bible and god and jesus was all made up by modern man back around the time of Julius Caesar. People worship this man, and they don’t even know it. The bible was originally written by the people of Julius to control the millions of people around them and brainwash them into a societal control from belief in a deity.
Are those track marks on the inside of matt’s wrist at 0:16? :o
I am constantly pulled into similar discussions (I hardly ever pursue them) and as a lifelong atheist, I often find it hard to properly articulate my beliefs (non-beliefs) b/c I’ve never really studied the subject. It’s just always been a non-belief in my life. You guys continually address my thoughts perfectly and I appreciate your videos.
atheism=baby eaters lol ive heard that one and i just want to sin lol damn christians are unreasonably insane
l beleive in unicorns rhinos are closely related to horses and have one horn so yes loosely i beleive in unicorns
do you think that bible is a fairy tale hahahaha you’re belief is wrong and that book is too unique in scientific, prophetic even in our times…
@esteban0321 I would agree, but I’d add the side note that the bible is the only religious text I’ve read so I have first-hand proof that it isn’t divinely inspired, yet I would assume other religious text are likewise.
Personally I would say that I have no evidence for or against the existence of a got but I know for sure that the god of the bible and the koran definitely don’t exist. The bible and the koran prove this.
I personally wouldn’t word it, “I believe there is no god,” because the word believe makes it sound too faith-based. I say that based on what evidence I’ve seen, or that the world just makes more sense to me that there is no god.
Ahh, sorry. I misread your post. I kinda lost it after the first sentence.
If I’m an atheist that means I don’t buy into the idea of there being any gods/goddesses including Allah. what’s your point?
Well i guess you are a Atehist to Allha without any problem, why not throw in one more god and be done with it?
God is exactly a boogie man….he hides on a cloud and if you aren’t careful he’ll get ya.
God is bigger than the boogie man” it’s a song from the show Veggie tales. In high school I was in love with a catholic lady sooo I ended up watching shows I’d normally avoid.
The things we do for love lol.
Well I feel silly. I seem to have missed that episode as a kid. At least I didn’t go off on a rant, that seems to be the only thing saving me any kind of face at this point.
I wondered how much time would pass before another atheist would see my ‘veggie tales’ quote & mistake it for my sincere opinion…
Apparently 1 week is the answer ha ha,ha
When theists prove that god has more validity than the boogie man.
When will you atheist realize god is bigger than the boogie man??!!
The classic argument we can make in favour of atheism is that there are and have been numerous religions over time, so how can one be right? It makes the most sense to accept non-belief. There is not enough evidence–the Bible is really just all Christians have–to prove there is any god.
Haha, well sure, technically.
“If you believe in one unsupported claim then you have to believe in all, because they have the same value.”
If you want to be consistent or ethical, that is. No one HAS to believe, know what I mean?
Other than that, kudos : )
@AT LEAST two of those groups are accepting their believes without ever rationalizing it.
Try looking-up the definition of rationalize, it may help clear things-up for you :)
@SmalltimR
“if you look closely, you’d see that the issue was raised at the notion that billions(3.5-4) of people would accept the existence of God without ever rationalizing it.
In short… the evidence does not support the claim at al”
There are billions of budhists and billions of christians and billions of muslims. AT LEAST two of those groups are accepting their believes without ever rationalizing it.
Whether or not there’s a good reason to believe in santa claus or god is irrelevant, because that’s subjective.
It doesn’t change that both are unsupported by evidence, which is what belief means, and therefore identical. Some could argue that belief in santa is more important, but it doesn’t matter, because all belief is equal. If you believe in one unsupported claim then you have to believe in all, because they have the same value.
