I love to listen to heavy metal, and enjoy playing it on guitar, but listening to this genre of music sooths, and calms me down. It makes me think on deeper, more important things, and forget the trivial matters. Lately I only listen to heavy music to lift or do something I do not wish to do, such as work.

not true in all circumstances, but sadly most,
i, for instance, love thumping, punding rock music with mind blowing guitars and heavy thumping drums… but i like this sort of msuic to relax to.

yes i totally agree with you, but really, im in young age and listening to celtic music because its so relaxing, peacefull, and make you smile and be happy, thats some of the things rap cannot do to you. but still wonder why they really can say this sucks…
medieval music tended to be written more for vocals and such, with instruments taking a backseat to vocals, i believe, whereas celtic music seems to be a bit more instrument-oriented.
