I thought the Giant lived in the castle
This is not anything like the one my mom would read to me. I have heard many versions of this, but this is totally new. I never knew they owned the castle. It was always stealing in my story, but I guess that is not good for a kid’s tale.

in the not so violent version the giant and his wife fall in the river. They don’t break their necks and die.
