I bought premade fairy wings at a local store for cheap. What is an easy way to color them?

I am going as a dark and evil fairy and my wings are purple, pink, and yellow. I tried putting tights over the pre-existing wings, but the frame of the wings is not sturdy enough. Can I buy black spray paint and color the wings that way? If so what kind of spray paint should I buy?
