the meaning of this story isnt dnt judge people by their appearence or even that the bullied turn out great in a way this story implies that u hav to b xceptd by at least some group and that if u bcome “pretty” people will lyk u. how messed up and yet so lyk society.
This story has alot of deep meaning never realised it when iw as a kid. it isn’t “don’t judge by appearance” either it seems ot go far deeper. Almost a mirror of human nature and showing how those who are unique get singled our bullied and some considered ugly but they grow up to become the most extraordinary people.
Imagine what it be like if the ugly duckling came back as a swan and then called everyone except for the mother duck ugly? That would surely teach them not to judge an animal by his appearance!
The swan chick s much more beautiful and cuter than any of those baby ducklings. Sometimes I wonder how on earth a swans egg could get into a ducks nest.

I thought i must be the only one to remember the 90’s version, which i swore existed, but could never find on the internet, on ebay, or anywhere else. Only two that seem to be known out there are Disney’s color and black and white versions. does ANYONE know where i can find this movie?

All the neighborhood Fowl act as if they’ve never seen a Cygnet (baby swan) in their whole life.
This is one of the best stories to tell little kids so they don’t grow up racist or make fun of people with birth defects.
