What is the name of the instrument that makes a fairy “tinkling” sound. It sort of looks like tiny windchimes?

You move a little mallet over it and they sound like a fairy has waved a magic wand with these high, shimmering sounds. Thanks!

chimes…
‘Chimes’ means different things in different countries. In the USA, ‘chimes’ is usually used to refer to a set of large tubular bells and so does not fit your description. In the UK one might refer to what you are describing as ‘concert chimes’. They comprise a set of small brass or steel tubes of increasing length suspended from a wooden mounting by (usually) nylon. One usually runs a hand along them to make the sound you describe - it would be much more unusual to see any kind of mallet used.
They’re called “Wind Chimes”, which points to their history as chimes hung to ring in a gentle breeze.

celeste, akeyboard instrument ,or a curtain, lots of dangling metal bars
In jazz band we knew them as “insanities” … the real names is a “chime tree”

Unless you’re referring to a chinese bell tree (which sort of resembles a large golden carrot, oddly enough) it’s simply called wind chimes.
like The Nutcracker? Dance of the sugar plum fairy? sort of the same instrument used in edward scissorhands or nightmare before Christmas and stuff..? it’s a celesta…it’s like a little piano, only it has a bell sound…it’s pretty.
oh…if it looks like chimes? oh….then…it’s some sort of chimes….or just “chimes” in general
