What was the name of an old children’s fairy tale book with a collection of stories in it?
It was a blue hard cover book with gold edges of paper on it and a lion and other animals on the cover. It had The Little Red Hen, The Emperor’s New Clothes, The Shoemaker and the Elves, a story about a rabbit and a fairy, and so many more. It’s kind of old though, but I can’t think of the name.

It could be anything. If you are looking for the exact book you remember, I suggest you go to an old bookstore and just browse the stacks. Many children collections will have the stories you mentioned–they are classics.
