What would be a really good set of fairy tale books for children, Hardcover preferrably?

I like the older fairy tales like before 1968, Hans Christian Anderson, Grimm’s.

You’re looking for The Colored Fairy Books, ed. Andrew Lang. There are about 20 of them. The Red Fairy Book. The Lilac Fairy Book. So forth. I’ve seen them in print, but not in hardback. There are several online at Project Gutenberg.

You might also enjoy The Little Lame Prince (not to be confused with Le Petite Prince) and Poor Little Rich Girl, which both hail from the same era.
